Jesus is led by the Spirit into the wilderness and tempted by Satan. Instead of offering a simple formula for resisting temptation, Luke 4 invites us to see something deeper. This passage shows us what God is really like and what it costs to follow Him. In this sermon, we explore how Jesus reveals a God who is not against us, not distant, and not waiting for us to fail, but a Father who is for us. At the same time, Jesus shows us that trusting God often means choosing the costly road instead of the shortcut.
